    The purpose of this module is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to explain a range of information technology concepts and terminology; describe the impact of information technology on personal, working and community life; manage files, folders and directories; navigate specific internet sites; create and manage a personal email account and develop skills in data entry and word processing.
  • PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS

    100 hours

    The purpose of this module is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to use a range of personal and learning skills in a variety of personal, civic and vocational contexts, operating with some autonomy while under direction.
  • TECHNICAL DRAWING

    100 hours

    The purpose of this module is to equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to construct a range of geometric shapes, tangents, and plane figures, draw a range of solid objects and auxiliary projections, determine true shapes of surfaces, true length of lines and develop surface patterns, create freehand sketching of components, and use a flow chart to demonstrate the stages of production of a component and design a package.
  • WORK EXPERIENCE

    150 hours

    The purpose of this module is to equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to participate in the workplace for a limited time, to carry out work-related tasks while under supervision and to apply their learning to plans for the future.

    A selection of VTCT Hairdressing modules working towards the VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing Services (FETAC Level 4 Major Award and Leaving Cert equivalent.

    On successful completion of this programme learners will have a high level of occupational ability to enable them to perform the hair and beauty skills referenced in this award in a salon.
